Héctor Cúper faces his first real test as Egypt manager, as his team take on Tanzania in the first match of their 2017 AFCON qualifying campaign, and King Fut is covering the live action.
Egypt were drawn into Group G, alongside Nigeria, Chad, and Tanzania. The Pharaohs will be aiming to finish in first place to clinch qualification. However, their task will be made difficult by the highly-rated Nigeria, ranked 43rd worldwide by FIFA, twelve places above Egypt. The Super Eagles got off to a strong start at home to Chad; goals from Salami and Ighalo gave the 10-man hosts a straightforward win.
