Tanzania imeibuka kidedea Jumamosi hii kwenye tuzo za African Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2016 zilizotolewa jijini Lagos, Nigeria.
Kwenye tuzo hizi Elizabeth ‘Lulu’ Michael na Single ‘Richie’ Mtambalike walishinda tuzo moja moja.
Richie ndiye aliyekuwa wa kwanza kushinda tuzo ya filamu ya Kiswahili (Best Indigenous Language Movie/TV Series – Swahili) kwa filamu yake Kitendawili.
“Asante Afrika, asante Tanzania, asanteni wasanii wenzangu kwa kuniunga mkono, asante familia yangu,” alisema Richie wakati akipokea tuzo yake.
“Thank you for calling a spade a spade, not a big spoon, thank you so much,” aliongeza Richie.
“Naomba nichukue nafasi hii kuwashukuru watanzania wote kwa kunisupport katika kazi zangu.Na kwa wote mlionipigia kura nawashukuru mno sina cha kuwalipa zaidi ya kusema Ahsante.Kwa wasanii wenzangu ahsanteni,huu ni mwanzo mpya,” ameandika Richie kwenye Instagram.
Lulu alifuata baadaye na kushinda tuzo ya filamu bora Afrika Mashariki (Best Movie – East Africa) kupitia Mapenzi. Muigizaji huyo alijikuta akilia kwa furaha wakati akishukuru kushinda tuzo hiyo.
“Kwanza kabisa ningependa kumshukuru Mungu wangu wa ajabu,” alisema Lulu wakati akipambana na kilio cha furaha alichoshindwa kukizuia na kuvutia makofi mengi kutoka kwa watazamaji. “Ningependa pia kuishukuru familia yangu hasa mama yangu, imekuwa ni safari ndefu tangu nikiwa na miaka mitano mpaka leo lakini siku zote wamekuwa wakiniunga mkono. Ningependa kumshukuru kila mtu aliyeshiriki kwenye filamu hii. Siwezi kuwataja wote lakini asanteni sana. Na mwisho Ohh my God, mashabiki wangu wapendwa, ninyi ni mnashangaza, mmefanya hili liwezekane. Tangu nikiwa na miaka mitano nilikuwa nikiota hili, mmelifanikisha, asanteni sana.”
Kwenye tuzo hizo pia Alikiba alikuwa miongoni mwa wasanii waliotumbuiza. Muimbaji huyo alitumbuiza wimbo wake ‘Mwana.’
Host wa show hiyo alikuwa mrembo wa Afrika Kusini, Minnie Dlamini na IK.

Ningependa kumshukuru kila mtu aliyeshiriki kwenye filamu hii. Siwezi kuwataja wote lakini asanteni sana. Na mwisho Ohh my God, mashabiki wangu wapendwa, ninyi ni mnashangaza, mmefanya hili liwezekane. Tangu nikiwa na miaka mitano nilikuwa nikiota hili, mmelifanikisha, asanteni sana.”
Kwenye tuzo hizo pia Alikiba alikuwa miongoni mwa wasanii waliotumbuiza. Muimbaji huyo alitumbuiza wimbo wake ‘Mwana.’
